CHOOSING SYMBOLS TO COMMUNICATE WITH SPIRIT
You communicate with Spirit each and every day, often without realizing it. Though you don't have to acknowledge Spirit's Presence all the time it is extremely helpful to know what messages are coming your way and what to do with them. Sometimes messages can seem particularly confusing. This is usually where the best insights and developments occur.
There is a reason why messages appear confusing at first.
When we open up to messages from Spirit there is usually a reason. We are often seeking something new, better, or different. We are asking for something to change. Keep in mind that as things change, we must adapt. This means that things such as our typical thoughts, actions, behaviors and environment change to match the new, better, or different thing that we are seeking.
This is where symbols come in.
Symbols, chosen by you, are an excellent tool to help you understand messages as you receive them. You choose it and assign the meaning so that you can fully understand what you're receiving.
Your Spirit Team is highly intelligent and focused on the highest good possible for you. Spirit isn't confused. They will work with you to help you understand in the best way possible.
Below is a channeled message from a higher source about symbols, how to choose them, and how they'll help you communicate with Spirit. Channeled messages always come from a loving place to help you live more freely in a life that you love and desire.

"Each individual experiences a symbol with a different power. Some are the same though they have different meaning. This is certainly for the collective. Symbols with a purpose are incredible sources of communication for Spirit. We shall give information on this in full.
To communicate with Spirit, a symbol is always important.
Each individual has their own. Let us explain that the symbol that is most relevant to you is one that you understand. You may communicate with Spirit in many, many ways... though we do understand that it is fully confusing in certain times. So, for understanding with Spirit: you find yourself a symbol.
Ask yourself, "What has meaning for me?" Ask yourself, "What has had meaning for me?" But do consider that we only want to speak to you with love and light... with light energy... with love energy.
We do not want to speak to you through your darkness of the past.
We want to speak to you with light of the current, and the future, and the past. Of course, we do learn through darkness. This is true. Embrace the idea that as we communicate with you - you communicate with us back. This symbol represents something to you.
Choose it. Yes.
Ask yourself, "What has meaning?" Yes.
Ask yourself, "What has had meaning?" Yes.
Now, as you choose your symbol...
Tell us what it means and know that what you tell us is what will be presented to you again. Let us, for example, state a flower.
A flower for you might be a wonderful symbol for growth. It also may be a symbol for... Death Loss Beauty Gifts Change ... Many things.
So, as you choose your symbol be wise in how you want us to provide it for you. We will always answer this. Just know that you are providing a form of communication.
The way in which you wish to communicate is important.

To form in your entirety a wish for pure light… know that going into this world of travel, you shall be bringing with you...
That which you have learned
That which you are learning
That which you wish to learn, wish to know, wish to grow and wish to fulfill.
Do know, our wish is to contribute to yours.
Do not wish so much as create. As you create your wishes, your wishes may come into a creation! To be fulfilled, what you must do is experience creation! You know what this is! You understand the process of growth?
Anything that does symbolize growth is something that goes through many processes and each one is good; Each one develops the character. So, understand that."
